Tidel TACC V depository safe from Tidel Safes.
Don’t think of purchasing a safe when you look at the Tidel TACC V or the TACC 5 as some people like to call it. Instead, think of it has hiring an employee that never needs a break or a raise. Excellant cash management safe.
I say that because when you get a TACC V you get a machine that becomes the accountant/banker for the store. No money goes out of the TACC V without money being deposited AND varified. This unit will also tell you “who” has been doing what. Making withdrawals, deposits, and requests. You even get a printed report when ever you need one so that it can be used to cross refrence the register.
So now you are doing more than stopping external theft but are concentrating on the internal theft of the business. Each Tacc 5 comes with:
State-of-the-Art Xscale Processor
Windows CE Operating System
Multiple User Tracking Via PIN Based Touchscreen Interface
Stores up to 48,000 Transactions in Non-Volatile Memory

Drop Safe Depository Safe Models RC-01k & RC-01c are the same safe but with different locks. The “K” stands for key and “C” stands for combination style lock. Many depository safes come with a choice of a dual key model or a combination model. The combination model can also be upgraded to an electronic keypad for faster entry to the drop safe. However, the key model can not be upgraded to an electronic keypad because of the way the bolt work is set up to take the dual key lock.
You will notice that it is a rotary hopper design. Which means put what you want in the top round tube then roll the handle and it will drop down below. Many depository safe makers believe that this is a better system to prevent theft from fishing. Which is taking a coat hanger and putting something on the end to make it sticky and “fishing” out dollor bills. Which I will grant you it does prevent that VERY well. However, there is a negative side to this type of system.
If you try to deposit something light, such as a single piece of paper, it may not fall out of the cylinder to the safe below. Because there is not enough weight in it. The other thing I have noticed also is that some people may have a large deposit that they want to drop and they will cram it into the cylinder. Then when they rotate it and want it to drop it won’t because its cramed in too tight to fall below. So you see, even Superman has kryptonite!
It is a very well made B Rated with drill resistant hard plate in the door and 2 1/2 inch thick door. Solid steel body and an extra 1/2 inch steel plate for the door. Take the extra step to bolt this to your floor and you have a fantastic depository safe that is ready for almost anything.
The lock on this unit is a Sargent & Greenleaf dial which is one of the best locks available in the world. Made in Kentucky by real American hands!
I give this drop safe a good thumbs up.

Floor Safe model LQ1616 and LQ1616sh are the same safe. However, LQ1616sh has a drop slot installed on the door of the safe. This floor safe, model LQ1616SH, is designed for use in businesses that have a need to drop money for overnight safe keeping.
As a small business owner myself, I don’t work with a large crew. So trying to find time for a vacation can be very difficult. Based on phone calls I recieve, I’m not the only one dealing with this issue. I have found that resturant owners have the most difficult time of all small businesses. Running several shifts a day and often 7 days a week these guys work hard and long hours. By the time they call me I often feel like a marriage counselor between the owner and the business.
“Lets start small with a three day weekend” is often what I suggest to these folks. Train the employees to use the drop slot in the floor safe. Your money will be there when you get back. Often worries of internal and external theft hang over the owner like a dark cloud. I will often pass along my father’s advice to me “They can’t steal it all” to help put the situation into focus. Training of a shift employee to drop money is easy. It takes place everyday so when you go away nothing changes. Upon your return, the floor safe is still there and so is the money that was dropped.
I will even get emails as a thank you…”I should have done this years ago” “My wife and family had a great time and nothing happened” Relieving the fear inside the owner to take another vacation again later.
The wonders of a good quality floor safe. Pay close attention to the size of the safe. I do need to point out a couple of basics on this safe. It is NOT B rated, which for those of you new to our site that means there is no hardplate in the door to keep out an expert thief with a drill also read my other postings in floor safes to get more understanding on what B rated means. It does come with a Group II lock combination that can be changed by a locksmith (Don’t ever put a keypad on a floor safe). It does have a lift out “safe head” or door. Comes with a cover plate for a smooth surface in your floor. Add some carpet on top and you have it made. To order one of these go to our Floor Safes page on www.ValueSafes.com

Protex model SDB200 is different from the others in this series of drop safes. This model is a mailbox drop safe type. Designed to be mounted on the wall. VERY popular for places that want to mount it outside their business. Allowing overnight or early morning key drops to take place. Such as small inns, auto repair or detail shops, and people wanting a secure mailbox as a theft prevention.
Good size and a good value in a small drop safe. Not inteded for holding large amounts of cash overnight. Not recomended for bank bags, just envelopes or loose cash. Single barrel key is used to open and close. Can be duplicated at most locksmith shops. Also is designed to be bolted to the wall. Two predrilled bolt holes are already there for quick and easy mounting. Overall a good little drop safe.

Drop Safe model CD8 is the perfect small drop safe to keep money and shifts organized. In retail, organization is number 1 in loss prevention. If you respect your company products and cash, then the employee will too. This model is small and designed to be quickly anchored to counter tops. You can bolt it do anything secure. Also comes with anti-fish baffel. Which is designed to keep people from sticking wire coat hangers with chewing gum on the end to stick to the money, out of the small drop slot.
The drop slot is not big. Only about 1/4 -1/2 inch in thickness. Just large enough for envelopes with a small amount of cash in them to squeeze threw. Not made for bank bags. The zipper is a close call on the slot. The slot on the drop safe also varies just a bit. Imported from China of the “finest Chinese steel”…. okay, really its just an affordable drop box that can keep honest people out. It isn’t high security or B-Rated. Just a good little box with a key and the lock can be replaced for about $8.00 at your local locksmith shop if you ever need to change the lock.
This drop safe is very popular for trucks, small offices, and key drops outside offices. It is NOT inteded as high security against theft. It is NOT inteded for large amounts of cash and protection against burlary or beatings with a crowbar! It is just a good little drop safe in the affordable price range of most places that need something like this little drop safe.
