What is the purpose of a drop safe? If you are a new business owner, perhaps running a boutique, a salon, or another small shop, then you might not be aware of the importance of one of these safes. When you have cash on the premises after a few hours, you will want to be able to put that cash into a safe place other than the registers. Thieves will immediately take cash from that location when they rob the store. However, with a drop safe, you will be able to take the extra cash from the register and keep it secure.

A lot of businesses that deal with large amounts of cash will invest in a drop safe or a depository safe to keep the money safe throughout the day. You should especially consider one of these choices if there are several employees that might have access to the cash. There are not many differences between the two, but the depository safe is usually larger and has stronger security features. If you just need to keep cash safe through an evening shift before dropping it all at the bank, then a drop safe will usually cover it. To keep the money safe overnight, though, consider the depository safe.

Many companies that employ a fairly large number of employees will invest in a drop safe, such as the Protex FDD3020. These safes are meant to keep small deposits of cash safe throughout an entire shift, and away from the hands of the employees. They have excellent security measures in place, such as penalties for the wrong combination, and spring loaded re-locking mechanisms. Several models even have “shark teeth” near the depository to keep thieves from fishing the money out with their hands or an instrument. Never again will you experience a shortage in your deposit for the day.

If you are in a business that deals with a lot of cash throughout the day, then you will probably benefit greatly from a drop safe or a depository safe. This is especially true if you have several employees that have access to the cash. The differences between the two are minimal, and comprise mainly of size and security. If you intend to remove the money each night to deposit at the bank, a drop safe should be sufficient. For businesses that need to keep the money in house overnight, the depository safe is a better choice.

Hi,
I haven’t written about Safes in awhile and I wanted to let you know I will be picking it back up again. Be sure to call about any scratch and dent safes or used safes. It seems we always go through waves of them and right now we have a quite a few safes that I can send pictures of and make someone a great deal on a safe.
Drop Safes, I have two models on close out. The FD-3220D is a really good deal on such a large drop safe. Good storage especially for a large civic group. I only have eight left and those will go quickly…I think.
Safes are on the rise in sales across the country right now and we are doing our best to stay in stock. Keep checking back for more “Safe” information!

Tidel TACC V depository safe from Tidel Safes.Â
Don’t think of purchasing a safe when you look at the Tidel TACC V or the TACC 5 as some people like to call it. Instead, think of it has hiring an employee that never needs a break or a raise. Excellant cash management safe.Â
I say that because when you get a TACC V you get a machine that becomes the accountant/banker for the store. No money goes out of the TACC V without money being deposited AND varified. This unit will also tell you “who” has been doing what. Making withdrawals, deposits, and requests. You even get a printed report when ever you need one so that it can be used to cross refrence the register.Â
So now you are doing more than stopping external theft but are concentrating on the internal theft of the business. Each Tacc 5 comes with:
State-of-the-Art Xscale Processor
Windows CE Operating System
Multiple User Tracking Via PIN Based Touchscreen Interface
Stores up to 48,000 Transactions in Non-Volatile Memory

Are you looking for a “through the wall drop safe?” Well, this is it! I don’t mean it like this is the best one. I mean like…This is it! The only one! Sort of..there are not many of these out there. They don’t make them in China real cheap. This is made in the USA. So its a bit pricey. However, I have never a negative remark on this model of depository safe.
This comes with a choice of three lock styles. Key, Combo dial, or Electronic Keypad. You will see it reflected in the model number. Pro-2225k (keys), Pro-2225c (combo dial), and Pro-2225e (electronic keypad). This depository safe is B Rated and designed to be bolted down to the foundation.
Note that the shoot is adjustable and I recomend the mailbox slot cover to on the other side of the wall. Anit fish baffel keeps people from “fishing” money out through the drop safe shoot.
