What is the purpose of a drop safe? If you are a new business owner, perhaps running a boutique, a salon, or another small shop, then you might not be aware of the importance of one of these safes. When you have cash on the premises after a few hours, you will want to be able to put that cash into a safe place other than the registers. Thieves will immediately take cash from that location when they rob the store. However, with a drop safe, you will be able to take the extra cash from the register and keep it secure.

HDS-2014K
They’ve thought of everything with this drop safe. Not only is it designed to handle numerous drops during the day with a quick-entry keypad for managers, but thieves who attempt to figure out the keypad code are locked out for a period of time, making their efforts more likely to be discovered.
The anti-fish baffle completely prevents anyone from accessing the safe through the drop door, making it one of the most secure drop safes you can buy.
If the keypad is pried off, further security measures lock in place with the dead bar, making door removal basically impossible.
While most drop safes are flimsy, and only good at keeping “honest people honest”, this safe allows any manager to have peace of mind that this safe will keep deposits on lockdown for extended shifts, and even overnight drops when emergencies arise. What’s better, the safe combination can be changed in seconds, so places with high employee turnover don’t have to add a lengthy safe process to their bottom line.
Overall, this is a great investment for any business looking for an effective, theft-proof drop safe. These models are also being redone. I will get you more later. But just a peak into the future….largest bolts on a drop safe of this size in the industry plus thicker steel. HDS-2014k

Many companies that employ a fairly large number of employees will invest in a drop safe, such as the Protex FDD3020. These safes are meant to keep small deposits of cash safe throughout an entire shift, and away from the hands of the employees. They have excellent security measures in place, such as penalties for the wrong combination, and spring loaded re-locking mechanisms. Several models even have “shark teeth” near the depository to keep thieves from fishing the money out with their hands or an instrument. Never again will you experience a shortage in your deposit for the day.

If you are in a business that deals with a lot of cash throughout the day, then you will probably benefit greatly from a drop safe or a depository safe. This is especially true if you have several employees that have access to the cash. The differences between the two are minimal, and comprise mainly of size and security. If you intend to remove the money each night to deposit at the bank, a drop safe should be sufficient. For businesses that need to keep the money in house overnight, the depository safe is a better choice.

Are you looking for a “through the wall drop safe?” Well, this is it! I don’t mean it like this is the best one. I mean like…This is it! The only one! Sort of..there are not many of these out there. They don’t make them in China real cheap. This is made in the USA. So its a bit pricey. However, I have never a negative remark on this model of depository safe.
This comes with a choice of three lock styles. Key, Combo dial, or Electronic Keypad. You will see it reflected in the model number. Pro-2225k (keys), Pro-2225c (combo dial), and Pro-2225e (electronic keypad). This depository safe is B Rated and designed to be bolted down to the foundation.
Note that the shoot is adjustable and I recomend the mailbox slot cover to on the other side of the wall. Anit fish baffel keeps people from “fishing” money out through the drop safe shoot.

Drop Safe SDS-01k and Depository Safe SDS-01c are the same safe with the difference being how they lock. Both Depository Safes have a B Rating which is important if I’m going to put my money in it. Also have drill resistant hardplate in the door with 4 holes in the bottom for bolting to the foundation. Don’t fear bolting down. Its easy and quick to do. I even have a paper on our homepage that tells how I do it.
The big difference is the “K” stands for keys and the “C” stands for Combo. The key version is just like on a safety deposit box at the bank. It will require two keys. One called a manager key and one called the guard key.Â
The safe comes with a mailbox type drop that is armed with anti fish baffle. They look alot like shark teeth on the inside the safe. Very good at catching people sticking a coat hanger with something sticky on the end and not letting it go.
These two drop safe models are one of the most popular sizes for drop safes in the industry. They fit cash drawers very well and hold up against pry bar attacks and burglar attacks with all the endurance of the Everyready battery bunnie.
